Description
Purpose:
This is a script to allow players to vote to turn friendly fire on and off.
Pretty simple...any player typing "voteff" initiates the vote, and the players in the server can then vote on whether they want turned back on (if off) or turned off (if currently on).
Requirements:
Eventscripts v1.2, 1.3, or 1.5
Optional Packages:
Mani 1.2 beta R (other versions will probably work fine, but I didn't test); better voting sounds if you have mani, but that's the only change.
Installation:
create the folder cstrike/addons/eventscripts/voteff
copy the es_voteff.txt file into that folder
in autoexec.cfg, add the following line:
es_load voteff
Configuration:
Values in the "config" section of this script are configurable, and descriptions of what they do are right there where they are defined.
Other Notes:
If the friendly fire setting is changed as a result of a player vote, it remains in force until another player vote changes it, -OR- until there are no players on the server any more. As soon as there are no players on the server, the friendly fire setting is changed back to whatever you set mp_friendlyfire to in your server.cfg.
Enjoy!
